Workout SNAPSHOT

Onati Studio is a peaceful yoga studio in El Gouna offering one-hour classes in the mornings and evenings, with a good variety ranging from strong flows to YIN and Aerial Yoga.

The studio is set in an open, pavilion-style space with wooden floors and soft flowing curtains, creating a calm and airy atmosphere. This openness enhances the serene feel, though it also means outside noise can sometimes be heard.

Mats are provided, and the overall setup feels simple and back to basics. We tried the Hatha Flow, which was calming and felt like a perfect end-of-day stretch. For evening classes, especially in certain seasons, it’s a good idea to use mosquito repellent.

THE FULL SCOOP

Onati Studio is a peaceful little yoga studio in El Gouna that offers a nice balance of variety and simplicity. Their classes are one hour long and run both in the mornings and evenings, with a range of styles to suit different moods and energy levels – from powerful, flowing sequences to slower, more restorative YIN classes, as well as Aerial Yoga for something a bit different.

The space is set in a simple, pavilion-like structure, supported by wooden poles with soft curtains flowing between them. It’s serene and airy, allowing you to feel connected to your surroundings rather than boxed into a typical studio. That said, this openness also means sound travels easily – if people are chatting outside, you’ll hear it quite clearly, which can be a little distracting.

They provide yoga mats, but no additional props. For certain poses, especially in slower or stretch-focused classes, blocks would be a welcome addition.

We tried the Hatha Flow class, which was calm, grounding, and felt like the perfect way to unwind and stretch at the end of the day. One practical tip: during certain seasons, for evening classes, it’s worth applying mosquito repellent beforehand, as they can be quite persistent.

Overall, Onati Studio offers a tranquil, back-to-basics yoga experience with thoughtful class variety — ideal if you enjoy practicing in a natural, open setting and don’t mind a bit of ambient life happening around you.
