Workout SNAPSHOT

Fitzone in Dahab is a welcoming, open-air rooftop gym offering a mix of strength and conditioning classes in a friendly community setting.

It can be a little hard to find at first (check our Instagram highlight video), but once upstairs you’ll find a well-equipped space with racks, barbells, kettlebells, and plenty of weights.

Classes run for about 75 minutes at 9am and 6pm daily except Fridays, with the latest schedule shared on Instagram. Most sessions are strength- or bootcamp-focused, including Build, WOD, Body Fit, partner workouts, core & glutes, and a weekly mobility class. Workouts typically include a warm-up, structured strength or conditioning blocks, and a stretch to finish.

The instructor, Maged, is attentive and supportive, creating a relaxed, social vibe – helped by his friendly dog, Fox – making Fitzone a great place to train and meet people while in Dahab.

THE FULL SCOOP

Fitzone in Dahab is a welcoming, open-air fitness studio located on a rooftop, offering a great mix of strength and conditioning classes in a friendly community setting. Finding it can be a little tricky at first – there’s only a small sticker on a large black door. Walk through, take the staircase immediately on your right, and head all the way up to reach the studio (we also shared a short walkthrough video in our Instagram highlights if you’re unsure).

The rooftop space is well equipped with racks, barbells, kettlebells, and a range of weights. Classes run for about 75 minutes at 9am and 6pm every day except Fridays, and the most up-to-date schedule is shared on their Instagram. Most sessions focus on strength or bootcamp-style training, including Build, WOD, and Body Fit classes. They also offer a partner workout, a core & glutes-focused class, and a weekly mobility session.

Each class starts with a short warm-up, usually including a couple of minutes of jump rope and some mobility work. Build classes are split into Push or Pull days but still deliver a full-body workout. Pull classes may include exercises like ring rows or pull-ups, gorilla rows, Romanian deadlifts, leg curls, bicep curls, and rear flys. Push classes could feature movements such as wall balls, push presses, dumbbell or kettlebell shoulder presses, floor presses, and tricep-focused exercises.

Workouts are typically structured in multiple blocks, combining set rounds with formats like AMRAPs. Body Fit classes lean more toward cardio, with heart-rate-boosting movements such as burpees, mountain climbers, and devil presses. Every session finishes with a stretch.

The overall vibe is very open and supportive. The instructor, Maged, is attentive and makes sure everyone uses proper form, while also encouraging you to increase weights when he sees you’re ready. It’s a friendly community and a great place to meet people while staying in Dahab – plus, Maged’s dog Fox is a bonus, and just as friendly as the rest of the crew. To join, you can DM Fitzone on Instagram, after which you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group where class sign-ups are posted the night before or morning of each session.
